Looking for recommendations for a car cover for the G87 that will be best for the heat, humidity and rain in South Florida. Thx.

I had a great BMW car cover for my 135is but it doesn’t seem they offer that kind of product for the M2. I was going to try the carcovers.com as well. One thing I think I like is that there are no side mirror pockets which are a PITA, create tension and end up causing small paint abrasions.

I was looking at outdoor covers for my STi since it’s being evicted from the garage for the incoming g87 and read a lot about how outdoor car covers will ruin your paint over time from the wind and just putting the cover on and off. Making me think twice. Plus it snows here so a bunch of snow on top of a car cover would be a PITA to move the car

My need was for more short term while the ecu is out of it.

I think a lot of the damage you refer to could be limited to eliminated by the quality of car cover. I got carcovers.com's top outdoor cover. Dont see any way, other than user error, it will damage the paint just by putting it on.

A lot of it depends on the quality of the cover, but you also will get far by washing your car before putting the cover on it. A big source of damage is when the cover is rubbing the dirt already on the car into the paint.

You also should factor in that an uncovered car is ALSO taking damage from the elements. There are tradeoffs no matter how you do it.

Speaking as a Bostonian, I've generally found it easier to desnow a car that has a cover. FWIW.
