Got my M2 today. Noticed there is a M sound button. Im guessing that controls the flaps MOST of the time. Is there a fuse pull like the other cars to keep open all the time? Also is there a mid muffler like the other cars have? I had a G05 and took out the mid mufflers and put straight pipes in. LOVED the sound. I saw AK has pipes but I am not paying that money for bent exhaust pipes. Can the mid mufflers be cut out and put a straight pipe in place?

My 1st day impressions......my first M car. VERY daily drivable. Comfortable. I got it up to 110 on way home from dealer.

Ordered the Rogue short shifter and bushings before I even took delivery along with the reflector in body color for front and gloss black for rear. IND obviously. I got white. Monday is going in for ceramic 5% tint and PPF stealth. Thinking about doing roof gloss black. I didnt get carbon roof or seats. I wanted moonroof. Dont plan on doing any other mods but JB4. If I could find a non-carbon lip, I would probably do that. I cant see spending $2k+ on a lip and it would probably get destroyed in NY.

Curious to hear your thoughts on the Rogue shifter (or anyone else who has replaced the shifter). I don't care (much) about shorter throws, but I'd love to replace the rubbery shifter with something a little more precise and "snickety."

My alpine white G87 arrived yesterday to the dealer finally so it won’t be long for me. My first mod is Michelin Alpin 5s on OEM wheels.
A boring mod but excited to keep it looking good through Chicagoland winter.
Dinan has a midpipe for our car for $700 which looks good .

Check out a YouTuber named “Nithin” and long last name starts with a C . He had an exhaust shop straight pipe the resonators out and you can really tell the difference in the video. In person it must sound really robust and rich.
He said his cost was $250 bucks.

Flaps don't open fully oem. But they do open in sport, sport + mode about 80%. Closed in efficient mode. Mid pipes will wake her up alot even with oem dp and oem ab.

The Dahler exhaust controller will give you full control of the flaps, plus FULL open.. not the blip of open/closed they do with the OEM setup. I will have a DIY up for the easy install soon.

5% is a aggressive. I had options of ceramic at 35% 15% and 5% I went with 35% all around even back window (70%) on the front). Keep the synonymous look from sides to back and so I can see at night haha!

Maybe nothing in some sound-castrated EU countries, but the button in US spec cars does make a difference in sport or sport +. No difference in comfort.

I did the same exact thing and got her back today. 35% all around 70% front.

Thats exactly what i did to my G05 M50i. And alot of people have been doign that. I just didnt know if it could be done on the G87. But if it can, thats the route im going. SS obviosly. Anyone know the size pre and post mid muffler? I think it was 3" on the G05.

Fuse pull on flaps? Control with bimmerlink? I would use bimmerlink to open then pull the fuse in the open position. Did that on previous car. Love the cold start with open flaps and no mid muffler

Always put 5% on all my cars. If I was driving a Ferrari or Lambo, then i wouldnt get tint. I would want people to see me lol

Does anyone know the length of the 2 resonators on the exhaust in the mid pipe area? thinking about two scenarios, replace both resonators with an X pipe. So I would have 2X pipes or replace one of them with an X pipe and the other one with straights. If The width and the length are the same on both and the pipe that’s available on Amazon I could just do a easier delete. I would need to know what’s the width is from the end of one pipe to the end of the other pipe width wise. And also the length of the resonators. I don’t have my car because it’s getting PPF right now
