Do you happen to know if these pads are shared with the G80/82 cars?
Carbotech doesn't even HAVE the G87 in their systems yet, masquerading as a G8x is the only way to order them. :/

It's on the wheels thick. Reminded me of the OEM thickness after 1200 miles. So is it less? Maybe, but what can I expect at 2K miles without washing? It did rain along the way so that probably helped contribute to the pasty feeling of it.

At least it isn't turning brown.

Overall very happy.

I have a set I just put on my G80 but they are making a rattle noise. I called Carbotech and they said transfer my backing plate and that may solve the problem. I'm happy with less dust and initial bite but the rattle is driving me crazy.

The pad backing plate was cut too small and its the pad rattling around on the caliper pad guides. The only effective solution is a new set of pads. I use the CT 1521 street compound as a street only pad on all of my cars. I’ve had no rattling issues when used with stock calipers and race calipers. CT is usually good with providing a new set of pads to eliminate the rattling.

I called them and they told me to go pound sand. He said this issue has long been resolved and to transfer hardware from oem pad to their pad.

Sorry to hear that. It certainly sounds like the issue hasn’t been addressed.

CT brakes can be hit or miss at times…
