I have a Uniden R3 and it recently reset to factory settings. I haven’t been able to pick up any troopers since the reset. Located near Pittsburgh, PA. Anyone running the Uniden R3 here and what settings do you have programmed? Yes, I know that at times when passing even a stationary trooper it may not have radar o in use and that could be why it doesn’t go off, but I previously was getting hits before the reset.

I use factory settings but a separate sound for each band.

Are you seeing visual alerts in the display? If so, the speaker could be blown which is an issue with R3. YMMV

The speaker absolutely works without any issue. The factory settings however have been pretty much useless

I have an R8, I had to turn off auto quiet feature that'll silence alerts as they come in. There's also quiet ride feature.
It's worth checking if the bands are enabled, and set to highway vs city.
