Both of my local dealerships apparently want to maximize profits on M cars and they know that a buyer like me will still purchase the car regardless of rates. I've been sitting on some company stock for a few years and my wife and I decided to start selling some shares off as we're able (and as it makes sense with the share prices) to help pay down the car a lot quicker. We should have the car paid off in 3 years or less if the plan works out so the dealer can suck on their 6.44% interest rate that they will never realize from the full balance

I "joked" around with my wife a couple years back that I have a sports car fund through work. She was laughing back then but now she loves me for predicting the future so well.

For those with good-excellent credit, USSFCU (or other credit unions) might be a possible option as well. We recently got approved by them for our M2, 5.49% for 48 months. We have good credit but not excellent (just a few points under their 760 cutoff). Could have been 4.99% if credit score was better.

As an aside, I want to give a big F-U to MOHELA and EdFinancial for duplicating my student loans on my credit report to make it look like I have 2X the debt (and yes, they apparently verified the non-existing loans even after disputing with credit agencies months ago). Bit salty about the extra half-percent of interest, but in the long run I know it won't make a huge difference.

Went through this when I closed on my house in October. Provide documentation that the loans don’t exist on EdFinancial and documents of the transfer to MOHELA and it shouldn’t matter

Wow thanks for this. I'll keep them in mind when my M2 arrives. I have almost perfect credit so i'll see if i can get under 5% interest when the time comes.

I think financing incentives will be coming. I noticed there is an new M2 deal on Leasehacker, stating $2000 off. I didn't look that close, but still shows softening demand.

I’m not saying that market isn’t softening, but I don’t think that deal is really a deal.

It says: “No wait, no MSRP markup! Save over $2,000 on the highly coveted M2 Coupe — arguably BMW's best enthusiast car.”

I don’t think that means under MSRP, maybe no additional $2000 ADM. Also it’s a lease, so they’re screwing you on money factor and residual.

5.29% at 72 months with NFCU.

I will say that customer service with them has been absolutely top notch as well.
