2023 M240i RWD Tune, Carbahn vs Dinan

Looking for a piggy back tune. Any preference b/w Dinan vs Carbahn, not withstanding the warranty that Carbahn offers.

Thanks,

Mir.

What type of warranty? Is this the one that pays if your motor gets damaged?

I understand that for additional $1000 at the time of purchase, Carbahn will cover damage attributable to the tune, if not covered by BMW.

Oh wow, that's a big amount more for their warranty. And it is almost guaranteed, that BMW would not be covering anything, Even if you completely remove the piggyback tune hardware, the ECU still might show that the parameters were being altered. But who knows. Would be interesting to know if anyone has had their engine covered by Carbahn. Or if it's kind of more of a gimmick that they use.

After watching what a stock block b58 can handle I wouldn't be to worried about running a piggy back if you follow what they recommend. You are def right bmw can see it but honestly wouldn't worry to much about it. If you haven't seen the Racechip has a warranty too. Honestly if its going to cost you the factory warranty I would think a full on flash would be a better probably even safer route. I saw a video on youtube last night of a guy running 8.9 on a stock block g42 240i xdrive, multiple passes so the b58 seems pretty stout.

Ran a Dinan v2 elite piggyback on 17 M240i 6M 3+ years. I was not east on that ride...she worked for me.
Never a problem with that tune. Not ONE.
Sold it with the car with it still in place. It was very solid.

Either one will get the job done; get the cheapest out of the 2.

If it were me, I would get the Jb4 or Racechip and save myself the money.

If you run the recommended maps, no damage will be caused by the tune. Hundreds of thousands of tuned cars on this forum, if this was an issue, it would be filled with voided warranty threads
