Racechip

For those using a racechip and have a stock running engine what setting are you using or should you use. I occasionally track this car.

Ran map 7 pretty much 100% of the time with 93 from Shell. Never had any issues.

I saw Mike post somewhere on here to use map 6 with 93 and 7 if you're adding ethanol, so I lowered it to 6. The difference was noticeable to me. Went back to 7 and enjoyed it.

I have to get it off the car now while my DME is on a trip.

Math is our friend.
10 gal of gasoline and 2 gal E 85 gets one to less than 15% ethanol - in some states that is still legal for pump gas.
At that level, one should not need an ECU unlock.

If you haven't I would call racechip explain to them what you expected out of their product a d what you are seeing they may be able to help you out and get you closer to what you are looking for. I hear they have pretty decent customer support.

You can mix E85 without needing an ECU flash tune if you are within the stock parameters. The DME will auto-adjust.

E30 is the sweet spot

I need to repost this. I have a RaceChip S running 93 octane no other mods. My settings only go to 5. On the track in 3 all is well on 4 there is a slight hesitation coming out of the corners on 5 very noticeable on acceleration however I noticed lower speeds at the end of the straights. Haven't had a chance to run 1 or 2.
