Muffler Delete w/ AA Downpipe
Hi guys, just installed my AA Downpipe on my 23' m240i and was thinking about getting a muffler delete. I know that it doesn't come stock with resonators and was wondering how bad is the drone is if I drive mainly on the highway.

Yeah I got the muffler delete but only had it for about a month before I got my Dinan axle back exhaust installed. With the AA downpipe, the drone inside was pretty bad and cold starts were very obnoxiously loud. The sound overall was definitely louder and the burbles and pops it made were crazy.
Once I put in the Dinan exhaust with the AA downpipe, there is barely a drone compared to the muffler delete and is still pretty loud but much more refined sounding. |

Very nice. Thank you for replying, I appreciate that. So I guess a lot of people with the muffler delete aren't quick to tell everyone else that there's a lot of drone. Something I definitely don't want to live with.

Wow that's tough. But there's no way I'm getting rid of my AA downpipe. After how much I paid for it and the install. Plus I love it. I wish there was a way to just increase the exhaust volume slightly. Then it would be perfect

IMO, Dinan sounds a lot more refined and sporty (not sure about the loudness in dbs) than Milltek. Plus I am a big fan of how the Dinan tips look (also not for everyone's taste). I get a lot of compliments for the exhaust sound from enthusiasts (cars and coffee, and just around town). Dinan axle-back costs more than Milltek (axle-back comparo). Plus Dinan has been working with BMWs for as long as I can remember and even some of the BMW dealers are cool with Dinan parts and even do the installs so there's a peace of mind there for me.
