Scrapped My Lip

I scrapped the rubber lip at the bottom of the air dam. Was driving out of parking lot with a steep incline. What can I do to remove the scratches? They’re not deep. Heat gun?

Use some silicone based vinyl leather rubber spray see if that clears it up enough for you not to care. Should make it a bit darker too. Remember if it's super steep back out or go at a really wide angle.

Yea, lesson learned. At least I didn’t scrap the airdam. Things happen. It’s a car.

Maaaan I did this exact same thing recently despite being normally super careful. First I was really pissed, then I was really grateful for the design of the bumper when I realized I didn’t scrape any paint. Do we think that rubber lip is replaceable on its own?

That part comes off easy and if anyone has fitted an aftermarket front splitter, they will have this part knocking around. If you can't repair it to your satisfaction, have a look on eBay just in case.

I did that the first week I got the car on my own driveway lol. If you want to buy a new splitter, I got one from here....

Awesome! I am gonna try to repair it first. $121 isn’t that bad though to replace it. Good to know that’s an option.
