Dailying a lowered car?
After reviewing all of the options for springs for the G87 (not very many tbh), I think I want to get the H&R Sport Springs, which lower the front by 1.25 inches and the rear by 0.75 inches. I also want to get a front lip for my car once I lower it. Do you guys think this will prove to be a problem? I daily my M2 and haven’t had any clearance issues with the massive 4x4 wheel gaps, even with my Mishimoto skid plate which sits lower to the ground. Do you think I’m bound to get a lot of scraping once I lower the car? I know the skid plate is meant to protect against stuff like this but I’d prefer not hearing scraping everywhere I go lol. I’m also worried if a lip will make clearance too low and I’ll have to go over every speed bump/divot at ridiculous angles.
TLDR To those of you guys who daily a lowered G87, do you have any issues with scraping/clearance, especially with a skid plate and/or front lip? Thanks

H&R sports are conservative; this should not be an issue for a daily driver.

I've had my car for nearly a year and had it lowered with KW HAS basically since new, no issues whatsoever.

The front splitter on my Z06 is 4.5" off the ground, and I scrape it going in & of my driveway that has a rolled curb, even at 45 degree angle. I also scrape the bottom of the splitter traversing dips in the road. So keep that in mind.

I only have a lip and I'm already scraping all over. I still plan to go with Eibachs if I ever find it in stock. I guess the improvement on the looks outweighs the inconvenience though I'm glad I got an affordable lip because every time I hear the scrapping I cringe.

You are scraping on stock suspension (no lowering springs or HAS)? |

Unfortunately yes on deep curves like exiting my house though my choice of lip did add 2" to the ground. I might have to go with 20" wheels and taller tires up front when I lower my suspension. Also I noticed the stock springs will settle maybe a finger less.

I'm on MP HAS and bumper clearance hasn't been an issue. The only thing that scrapes is the air fins underneath the car behind the front wheels. Did anyone remove these or just keep scraping on them until they wear out?
