I just got a carbon fiber radiator cover to replace the factory metal cover. my question is it looks like the front bumper needs to be removed to gain access to the front attachment points of the radiator cover. can anyone confirm this? looking for an easier way for install that I might be missing. thanks

It might not be a replacement but an overlay.

Yep it was. And the other pieces of debris that get back there even with Zunsport grilles installed.

Replaced mine without removing the bumper. You just need to remove a few of the bolts/clips along the top to be able to lift the bumper away from the 4 attachment clips so you can get to the heads with a trim tool.

How tough is that to remove? Looks like a ungodly amount of fasteners along the top edge there, but I imagine you don't have to remove them all to get the front off.

I'll have to take a look and see how the PPF was done at the seam.

But it does look like it would make some things much easier to do than trying to work around it.

Very easy to remove. 10 bolts on top plus a few plastic push pins, a handful of screws & push pins on the underside. 13 (I think) screws for each fender liner. I detailed it in my post about installing the new grilles (maybe in the exterior mod section or "what did you do today" post).

It was also much easier to put back on and line up than my Z06 front fascia.
