DTC P2E01 Strange

So I get a check engine light last night on my way to supper. Car drives fine so no big concern. When I got home checked for DTC and I have this P2E01 code. A pile of digging and it’s a shifter plausibility error. In a 6 SPD manual car. Anyone had something like this pop up? G87 M2

Grr,

Why in the living h3ll do they have the G42 in the G87 forum. I really do wish they would separate these two cars.
