Lots of small rocks in I/C

So I put on a brand new intercooler a couple weeks ago for my track weekend last weekend. It was raining a ton, had lots of little gritty rocks in wheels so decided to look around and noticed a bunch in the intercooler. Is this just par for the course or should I try cleaning out?
