What is a reasonable M60 discount?

What kind of discounts should I reasonably expect for a 2025 M60?

MSRP $97,975

My dealer gave me a selling price of 96,000 (2% discount) and increased my trade in value from the KBB number of $48,818 to $51,000 ($2,182).

He said "Due to recent changes, the difference between the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and the invoice price is not as significant as before."

Effectively a discount of $4,156 (4.2%). It also seems that dealers rarely give you the KBB number so maybe that's also a good deal. The increased trade in value also decreases the tax burden.

Loyalty $500

There's also a listed USAA discount of $4,000

Still waiting to hear back from 2 other dealers. I'm thinking this seems like a reasonable deal. What do you all think though?

That is pretty decent. Obviously discounts vary by region, dealer and timing but I think we are often seeing the M60i's in the 5% - 8% area.

As you mentioned, the domestic military incentive is $4k if you don't finance with BMW (or take a higher rate). There are a few ways to get the certificate but the easiest is to use TrueCar's military site.

Just as a heads up there is no current way to get the discount as a USAA member unless you can provide documentation of a family members service or your own service. While it is still listed in the BMW site that USAA membership qualifies you, id.me will not process you without additional documentation which can be difficult especially if it is from a deceased relative.

I can get something from my retired AF dad if need be. Thanks for the heads up.

Scratch my original post. I got an offer from my other dealer of 8% discount and 1-2k more for my trade in.

I didn't need any forms from my dad. I just went through the regular IDme with USAA and it gave me the numbers and the dealer said it went through just fine.

Just for clarity since ID.me is used for verification on two sites, which web site did you use? It sounds like you are referring to BMW's military incentive site since your dealer was involved. Is that correct? If so, how did you enter your USAA information as others have reported not being able to do so?

I think I went through this page:
https://www.bmwusa.com/special-offer...incentive.html

Signed with IDme, and then it took me to the models page. I clicked on the X5 which then took me to a 'contact a dealer' page where I entered my info (name, email, zip, phone). It then pulls up a list of dealers based on that zip that you want the info sent to. I got an email with the numbers and gave those to my dealer since. I don't know where the email to the dealer goes. He said they went through fine for the discount.

Ok but you are missing a big step in there. How did you sign in with ID.me and verify the USAA information. What you described is the process that its used once you are verified.

Hmm... I guess I'm not sure of the specifics of that part. I signed up for IDme a bunch of years ago with what if I try and think about it was my medical background, but I suppose I must have also signed in with USAA info somehow at somepoint? I'm sorry for not having that missing piece. I'm always just happy when I click the IDme on a site and it works.

Thanks and not a problem and that would explain how you were able to do it. The problem we are running into now is that even though a USAA membership qualifies a person for the domestic military incentive, there is no way to go through ID.me and verify it. They ask for the military documentation in order to get ID.me qualified. For the Navy Federal CU they use Plaid so a person logs in using their NFCU credentials and they can print the certificate.

I'd even told my dad he needed to find his DD214. He said he put it somewhere where he'd always know where it was, and now if he could only remember where that place was. I told him I put things in that same place and then they also go MIA. Thankfully in the end he didn't have to go searching for that place.

Agreed. The issue is that ID.me has removed the USAA option for verification that was previously available. Per my discussion with them, if you signed up years ago you were grandfathered in.

I was thinking that must have been how it worked. I signed up and then got grandfathered with some policy change.
