I want to buy the M trunk spoiler but I want to paint it before I install it. Do you think the port guys would just throw it in the trunk?
Would it cost $775 at the dealer? |

You cant get the M Trunk Spoiler right now at the port, as it is out of stock. But if you order it from the port, they will install it with glue and its permanent. You can buy it aftermarket still as some places still have inventory. Its $618 list, and can be found discounted. Kies Motorsports sells a close look alike for <$300.

It is not permanent (it may take knowing what youvare doing but its not permanent). Even a bolted wing isnt permanent. IND has it, and they may be able to paint it for you (you will have to send them a message). https://ind-distribution.com/product...-trunk-spoiler |

Are these parts discounted at port or are they the same as list? I guess the benefit is that you get free labor for installation. While that might work for some, I would much rather install then myself. Isn't that the best part of buying accessories?
Also, where does one order port installed accessories? |

Hi All,
Trying to spec an order for a 2025 M2. Does anyone have the most updated G87 MP Accessory list of codes & prices? Also is the 51 19 5 A36 950 Carbon throughflow rear spoiler wing (Clubsport) available as a port-installed option? Thanks! |

My CA said BMW stopped doing port installed CF Spoilers when I placed my order 10 weeks ago. He didn't really mention why... but I was able to add front Carbon Inlets to my order. I ended up buying the spoiler online and will install it myself when I get the car.

When I ordered my car on 8/24, ZC9 was not on the port installed options list. I kept checking with my friend and a few weeks later it popped up and we were able to add it to my build. |

I had a G87 that got destroyed in a flood on 8/19. I loved the car so much, I decided this time around, order the car exactly how I want it. Didn't hold anything back.
I still couldn't stomach $2,800 for CF mirror caps. Ordering it this way, I can get straight to performance modifications. Still chasing the 9s quarter mile. |

Man, why are you going to make me do this?
Value is subjective, and the sooner you learn that, the sooner you'll stop looking like a fool injecting your nonsensical subjective options in places they aren't necessary, requested, or valued in the slightest. I actually responded to a post you made in a thread yesterday where you were completely wrong about warranty coverage on OEM M Performance accessories that someone installs themselves, and I deleted it because I don't like arguing with people on the internet. You were entirely wrong and I have receipts for over $2,800 to prove it. Now since your now following ME around talking nonsense, you've left me no choice but to call you out. I didn't overpay for anything. To you I overpaid, because you're comfortable buying cheap shit from Alibaba and undercutting American manufacturers who take the time to R&D and create molds which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, only to have those molds copied, products undercut, and dumped in the US market. I'll never understand why it bothers you so much how other people spend their money. I'm obviously not hurting. I ordered a new M2 the day mine got destroyed without even having spoken to insurance yet. Let me spend my money how I want without the badgering all across these forums. Enjoy your car in good health, and maybe try to learn something on here like the rest of us. Last edited by rons e92; 11-04-2024 at 12:08 PM.. |

It has nothing to do with caring how you, or anyone else spends their money, but is providing information that many don't know about. How many threads are posted by people asking where to buy parts? *for example, you mention you didn't want to pay $2300 for cf mirror caps. You can buy those same M Performance cf mirror caps for $1,740. Why pay $600 more when you don't have to? Re: my car, I've installed the M Performance Alcantara armrest, M Performance carbon fiber door sills, a TRE carbon fiber rear spoiler, CSL grilles from AutoID, and a custom carbon fiber & Alcantara steering wheel. So what cheap shit from Alibaba have I installed * I forgot my genuine BMW M door pins & genuine BMW M door projectors. Re: M Performance parts warranty, not sure to what you're referring about me being "completely wrong", but M Performance parts carry a 2 year warranty regardless of who installs them - that's straight from BMW.

It’s nice to see this OEM/M Performance/aftermarket carbon fiber parts controversy has finally come to a resolution.

PS just because a company is in America doesn't mean it's made here. They may do some research and development here but a lot outsource the actual production. |

Perfect example of not overpaying for BMW parts: no don't buy this for $775 (list is only $632 anyway) from the dealer when you can buy it for $520 from www.bmwpartswarehouse.com. Part # 51-19-A51-348

I was referring to not overpaying for BMW MPerformance parts, e.g., the $2462 list price for cf mirror caps vs ordering them yourself for $1,742. But many people don't know you can buy genuine BMW/MPerformance parts from anywhere else but their dealer, as evidenced by the number of threads that pop up here

Unnecessary and uncalled for comment. Shouldn’t be judging how someone spends their own money. You like buying from Alibaba…nobody comments on that but I am sure others have their opinions on the quality of their products. You buy what you want…nuff said
