[Brooklyn M240i]

Hi everyone,

Just took the M240 out of winter storage yesterday, and took it for the first drive. It was awesome.

I noticed there was a new OTA update for ID8. Once the update was complete I got back into the car and the infotainment screen was showing the side mirror cameras and flashing. It was so weird, but eventually went away. Once I got home to park the car I put it in reverse and there’s now a line on the 360 cam screen. Not sure if this is the “new normal” or if I need to do a ID8 reset.

Also, if you have any info about the new updates and it’s changes please let me know.

Definitely glitched. I've seen nothing but issues with the new update so i've been holding back from updating!

Like what? Haven’t seen anything reported on the relevant thread other than the app not reporting the update correctly.

the shadow (box) behind the car on the left doesnt look right either its offset and the car is smaller

Could see anything other than a resolved iOS/android issue.

You need to look for the posts. Definitely more, below are a few, and there are others. Also, its an iD8 update, not a car update (I have both a MY23 G42 M240 and G87 M2 and update is the same...I have not downloaded for either car, M2 is unlocked and tuned so cat do updates; with the other issues and lack of important improvements, not updating the M240).

The vertical line in your display indicates a display failure/problem. You'll need to get it replaced if it persists.

That exact 360 camera glitch has happened to me after the past two software updates. Weirdly, I remember doing an ID8 reset (holding the volume knob down for 30 s + 30 s after it goes black) last time and it still didn't fix it. The problem was gone when I came back to my car the next day though...?

Same I let the car “rest” overnight and the next day I went to drive it fixed itself.
