2022 M240i Too Stiff? Help?

Hello,

I'm new to the forum, and this is my first BMW.

I just took delivery of a 2022 M240i, and when the road is flat and well maintained the thing is amazing.

But when it hit bumps, it hits a lot harder than I expected, even in comfort mode.

In Sport / Sport Plus, it feels like the KSport coilovers I tried on my 4,100 lbs Honda Crosstour back in the day... Handles grate, but I my head would hit the ceiling every time I go over a bump.

I know the tires are lower profile than my Hondas, but I read that maybe the Run-Flats are the problem?

Is this how BMWs feel?
Is this just the 240?
Is the 230 a lot softer?

Thanks.

If they weren't, it would reflect the issues no matter what the driving conditions are.

Runflats def contribute to a harsh ride. I’d ditch them immediately for a set of PS4’s.

What tire model and size did your car come with? If you were unfortunate enough to get 225 squared P7 Cinturato, that would explain it.

Yes 225 squared P7s

I am thinking of going 235 Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4.

Probably a good idea. The P7 are awful. Just make sure to buy a fix a flat kit to keep in your trunk.
