I've searched but haven't found anything specific.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a dog cover that fits the small back portion of the car? I know there are many sling-style options, but the M2 has such a small area, and I'd like it to fit neatly.

I don't want to tote my pups around in the M2, but sometimes I have to and would like protection.

I use a small carrier but that may not work for you.

I have two boxers that I cart around from time to time in the back seat, they are the reason I have an M2 instead of a Supra. I use a combination of seat covers/blankets with goal of protecting the seats and containing all the dog fur so my setup probably goes above and beyond what most people do.

1: I put down 2 bed sheets, one on the bench that goes down and covers the floor and a second that covers the back rest.

2: I put down a blanket that goes over the entire back seat and extends down over the floor as well.

3: I have a fitted Kurgo cover that goes down first. it is similar to this one:

It has a strap that goes behind the seats into the trunk plus the loops that cover the head rests.

4: The last thing that goes in is a hammock style dog seat cover. This is the exact one I have but it's no longer sold. There are a lot of similar options out there:

This one makes the hammock by lopping over the front seats. I raise the headrests and buckle around that gap. This one is the most important because it prevents the dogs from falling into the gap between the front and back seats. Since we do not have grab handles in the back seat for the side protectors to hook onto, I use these:

I put one on each backseat window for the side protectors to hook onto. These are the only things I have found to work. If you try to use the clothes hanger hook, the covers will come unhooked in 2 minutes. With these you can remove the metal hook when you are not using them.

When I am done transporting the dogs, I can scoop this whole setup out in one big ball containing all the dog fur.

Just a little follow-up to my solution, which turned out about as good as I could hope.

If anyone goes this route, be sure to get a seat cover that zips up on each corner, not plastic buckles like the one I linked above. I'm sure the dog fur will be sneaking through those cracks.

I took the rear 4 pannels and tucked them in the crack where the back seats pivot down. I used cardboard to make a pattern of the bolsters so the hard panels could be cut to tuck as far back as possible. The two middle panels also require some trimming to fit around the armrest hinge. After that, everything else fit fine.

Due to our cars not having rear grab handles, I purchased 4 of these hooked super strong suction cups and positioned them on the back windows: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0?ie=UTF8&th=1

I hope this helps someone in the future. This is just my backup solution to my normal dog hauler of a Rivian R1S with a full Canvasback custom cover.

I have 2 Border Collies and no way in hell they’re going in the M2, but check out offerings from Orvis. They have a good selection of covers.

We have 2 goldens again; no way are they even getting in. Too big to sit comfortably in the front and too hard to get them in the back. That's why the wife has a car, oh and we have a winter Rav4 I lovingly call the red turd, both of which work much better.

We have a 68 pound Bernedoodle who gets in the back no issue. Took him a bit to realize to let the seat fully go forward before stepping down. We just use a random seat cover from Amazon to avoid most issues. Then just clean after if necessary. Haven’t run into any real issues and seat is clean when cover removed.
