Got my allocation July 29 and my car got to the dealership this weekend. Picking it up tomorrow.

Edit: Posted after midnight, so I should say picking it up today!

Well now my estimate build date is January 7-13th. I can't be mad since that's what I wanted. Original build date was November 27th.
I do have the Carbon Package, fully loaded and now with MP HAS since it got unscheduled.

For anyone who's interested in the carbon spoiler, I just got this message from my CA that he received yesterday.

"The VIA Management Team has decided to remove the ZC9 spoiler from any inbound 2 Series/M2s that are calling for it. We not only had significant QC issues, but they are now out of stock globally with No eta in any capacity."

So I will be receiving my car without it.

This answers why mine was removed. I asked my CA and he had no idea and said he added it back. Thanks for this info

Carbon pack, HAS, carbon diffuser, carbon inlets, and I had the carbon spoiler but it looks like BMW NA removed that from the build since they are out of stock.

Hi everyone—reviving an old thread. The time has come to replace our 2nd beater car (a 2014 228i). When I ordered a Taycan last May, there was a broker on the forums who connected me with a dealer that allowed me to pay MSRP and get a quicker allocation than would have been possible with my local dealers.

Is there anyone on the forums who can help? We’re eyeing the M2 and would like to get a deposit in and drag our feet/wait long enough for skyscraper grey to hopefully become an option.

I’m located in the Bay Area.

I'm curious who this person is and if you paid.
I'm looking for a Cayman or Carrera and I've talked to a couple of people and it's been markups or certain things I want aren't available or there's a delay. But I'm OK waiting however I can't get a sure we'll order unless it's what they want.

Check with BMW of Dallas. I worked with Sam there and was able to get an allocation pretty quickly. Ultimately, I didn't take it and bought from a different dealership, but he should be able to help.

Does anyone have any 2024 allocations available? I was under the impression my local dealer had allocations and when I went to my appointment today they told me I’m 3rd in line… super disappointed at the moment as I just sold my car yesterday since I thought they had allocations.

Even if a dealership had an available allocation, you would still be months from getting a car.

I understand that! I am prepared to wait 3/4 months but waiting 5/6 months would push me into 2025 territory. Just trying my best to find an open 2024 allocation, if not I'll just wait for 2025

edit: Just realized I said I sold my car so that probably made it seem like I need a car immediately. I sold my go fast daily driver, a stage 2 Audi A3. I also have a lifted Wrangler I just don't enjoy driving it everyday haha.

That's not always the case. You'd be very surprised if you were to
interview GM's at all the BMW dealerships to find out what has really
happened in many cases concerning allocations, wait times etc.

It's all about timing. I won't get in to details, but, will say this. I made a phone call trying to find an allocation. The GM called me. BMW had
let him know they will give him 3 allocations....just place the orders.
I said what's my chance, and how did you build them. He said send me your build # from the BMW site. I did, he called and said one of them matched mine almost exactly. I said I'll take it! We made the deal on the phone....the car was built about a week later, it's now waiting transportation with est. delivery end of this month, maybe 1st week of July.

So, timing, luck, situations...lots of "things" happening that most don't know anything about. Just reality. The norm?....No, but, "stuff
happens" and I lucked out. Called at just the right time.
So, to your statement....nothing is written in stone.

There are allocations available, or at least there were on 5/17. Ordered from local dealer but found others in Phila and NJ. Placed order 5/20, entered production 5/30 - so waiting time for delivery is not very long right now. I suppose most guys are waiting for 25’s. I wanted 24 when I found out TR was being discontinued as color for 25. I was told to call around, and that worked in one day.

Congrats. Another example of trying a little harder and not accepting
a "NO" at one dealer and giving up and saying to people....oh there are no allocations and you'll have to wait months!

I'm a car guy and always have been. I go after what I want and then hope it works out somehow. You and I are just 2 examples of making it happen. I know there are many others around the U.S.
