Thoughts on Monoball bearing kit?
I’m looking into the Turner Motorsport front Monoball conversion kit. Does anyone here have an opinion on these?
I was told this brings some life back into the lifeless steering issues we all drive around with. |

Since you're local, save on shipping/wait time and drop by and pick up a set.

Install is about a few hours as they need to be pressed in. Quite honestly, it's one of the best first mods you can do for handling.

I was also curious about this upgrade since I watched the Smoking Tire review Steve Dinan’s personal M8. They mentioned a great improvement in the overall feel of the handling and Steve credited it to the mono ball set up

Yes FLCA was a mball and FUCA or tension strut was a solid rubber bush

I have now had the Millway monoball thrust bearings in my M2 for about 10 days... they make a noticeable difference in the handling.. When you twitch the steering you are going to feel the reaction, I think, much quicker than stock... puts a grin on my face..
The cost of the bearings is doable but the cost to install is another story... but overall, the steering response makes you forget the multiply comments regarding the weight of the M2... |

I've been looking into this, wondering what other suspension arms I should install while taking things apart. I don't need adjustability for adjustability's sake, but I wonder what will improve the feeling going away from the rubber bushings.

About 3-4 hours on the M2, identical to the 2WD M4. The positioning of the heat exchangers make accessing the bolts a bit difficult compared to AWD M4 models (which is easier).

Yeah they were excellent. I had them on my first G87 (no longer with us) but my current G87 I have not put on just yet, but will eventually.
Improves steering and control of the car by giving you an intimate driving experience, negating the disconnected feel everyone complains about with M cars these days. Install is tedious so I recommend a shop doing it. |
