Question for those with an exhaust

I’m really considering buying an exhaust as stock is not enough for me for such a beautiful car. My last ride was a Focus RS that was pretty loud, but not obnoxious, and I loved it. I worked from home at the time and on longer rides the loudness was a bit bothersome, but this didn’t happen all the time and my exhaust wasn’t valved.

Now my question is. How loud would a mid pipe/cat back make the M2 on quiet mode? I drive 40+ minutes to and from work everyday on the highway and I like to keep the car dead quiet until the eventual fun accelerations here and there.
Hoping to get some inputs from those with an exhaust to help me decide.

Equal length mid by itself from AA made a significant difference with the valves open. Valves closed its still quiet as oem. I may eventually add their valved axle back as well for a bit more since they maintain oem valve control. Then the catted DP at some point. But I was coming from a v8 with long tubes and full exhaust so just about anything is quiet in comparison.

I have the Valvetronic valved sport exhaust system (would be no need to modify with other midpipes). Currently have highflow catted downpipes (200 cell) and stage 2 tune, when highway driving, no drone and barely noticeable inside the cabin. Under heavy load/acceleration or "spirited driving" is a different story. I had the catback prior to downpipes and tune and it gives same results, just obviously not as aggressive under the spirited driving.

keep the downpipes stock and the car will be quiet with the valves closed.
