I agree.... I have an excellent local shop that specializes on BMW's is is capable of doing this work.

My primary concern is how will BMW deal with any warranty claims that may come up in the future?

Bear in mind that I'm in Canada and don't know how reasonable BMW is here when it comes to aftermarket mods.

No no no….a good local performance shop should run around 3k ish installed. Since it’s an OEM part it’s covered by warranty. It’s only about 5 hours labor so they clearly have no clue what they are talking about and the parts are around $1,700 depending where you buy the kit. If you are a BMW CCA member you also get 10% off parts.

I see you’re in SoCal….get this done at Tag Motorsports in Vista, they do a far better job too. PM me if you want more details.
