If they really want to surprise us, they should offer xDrive paired to a MT.

What is the process to get a CS? Do people get on dealer lists now? Before you even know what it is or when it will be released?

Find a dealer that's accepting deposits and make sure you're at the top of the list, might mean calling multiple dealers. If you wait until the car is officially announced, you're already too late. It'll only be in production for one model year.

so the CS likely won't get any exterior headlights and/or tailight treatment from the '25s right?

I’d think the G87 CS would have some fairly significant exterior bits to differentiate itself from the poor’s models.
Same with the Comp.

'25 didn't get any new lights.

If and when they do come out with another LCI with updated lights is all speculation at the moment. The CS will get all the updates the '25 got including the CS stuff like splitter, wheels, ducktail spoiler, etc.

Also, if it’s anything like the M3 CS, M4 CS, and M4 CSL, then each (US) dealer will only be given 1 allocation. It’s even possible that some stores won’t get one at all like the M5 CS.

Considering that the normal G87 is already lower production than all of the other M models, I’m pretty confident it will be 1 per dealer or less.

My dealership is high volume, highest in the southern region actually, we average 1 M2 allocation per month, while we usually get anywhere from 3 to 6 M3’s and M4’s per month.

Based on that, I can’t imagine that any US dealer is receiving more M2 allocations than M3 and M4, thus, lower production all together.

I’m sure there are some statistics somewhere to confirm, but I’m not compelled to go dig around for it.

I think it's actually kind of funny BMW made up a term/acronym & people are getting up in arms about little changes that every vehicle manufacturer does each model year. They just don't have a made-up name for it.
