CarPlay and HUD out of sync

Anyone have the problem where your phone is connected to CarPlay for music, but the HUD track list is displaying the songs from what looks like some previous BT connection with iDrive? The only way to get them back in sync is to disconnect CarPlay, switch the phone to BT connection directly with iDrive, then switch back to CarPlay. Then the HUD tracklist reflects what’s playing.

I’ve tried killing the music app on the iPhone before entering the car. It seems to get like this because in the evenings I play music from my phone over AirPlayvto my HomePod.

Is this what you're referring to? When the HUD displays 'unknown track' and the steering wheel controls don't work and say 'please wait..' but nothing happens? Is that what you mean?

If so you need to re-pair your phone/car and do a reset of your Drive by pressing and holding that power off volume knob for a minute.
