I didn't have a issue with mine, just gotta be careful with the 3M adhesive remover wheel. The frozen finish is pretty tough, it doesn't turn gloss as soon as you put some physical force onto it which is nice but you don't want to grind away at it with the removal wheel either.

Also most of where the OEM one was will be covered up by the new one for the life of the car so it doesn't really matter anyway if you over-do it on those areas

Thank you for the reply. I was going to see if I can get the M Performance spoiler installed at the port when I order mine so I won’t have to worry about it.

For owners who have the Frozen Grey, how has the maintenance been? Did you all get a full body stealth PPF wrap? What are the difficulties it taking care of this paint color? I assume getting a full wrap would help with the majority of maintenance issues. Am I wrong with that assumption?

Why am I considering this???

I have a Frozen Grey G87, without PPF. Paint is much stronger than one would think, not one stone chip. Just drive carefully on the highway, like not directly after someone else and you will be fine.

LOL, y’all don’t live in Colorado. Not an option here. My frozen Portimao will be getting its front end wrapped.

Maintenance is pretty intense. Definitely more effort it keeping it looking clean - wiping without clean microfiber and the proper amount of high quality detail spray leaves very visible smudges and streaks. Fingerprints show up with most every touch. Dust is more visible from the drivers seat on the hood (IMO).

That said I still love it. Got the entire front end PPF wrapped due to chip concerns. Cant tell there is a film on there at all, so it doesn't change the finish appreciably. Biggest gripe is that everyone who sees the car think its been wrapped! Nobody's first assumption is that its paint

If I got a full PPF wrap would those issues you mentioned still be a concern?

Sounds like it's just as much a PIA to keep clean as a black car. Looks great though and really love the iND painted center trim. Didn't know iND also offered frozen colors.

Yeah, I'd say the wrap on areas I have like the hood are a little less prone to the smearing/smudging and prints. The film feels slightly more slick and oleophobic to the touch.

For example I can close the hood and not have to wipe the leading edge off immediately afterwards - not so with the drivers door or trunk (it's especially bad with my little kids greasy hands lol)

That said, getting my front bumper, lights, hood, mirrors, and all those grille inserts wrapped was well over $2k, and I don't think I could justify the full car expense.

Color appears shark skin texture and shade far away and close up it gets more depth and metallic. It’s wild. Yes on fingerprints etc, hit it with Dr Beasley’s spray and all set. If you clean your floor mats after each drive then yeah maybe this is not for you.😀
