A (tiny) display issue on my HUD

Hi friends,

I noticed a tiny display imperfections on my HUD around the tachometer bar area. After I carefully wiped the HUD top covering (which I think is some sort of plastic) the “tiny black dot” is still there.
What I also noticed is that when I adjust the HUD display height, the dots adjust with it but for rotation/orientation, the dot stays at the same location. This makes me believe that the HUD projection itself is good (no bad pixel or anything) and most likely it’s a speck of dirt sitting on the inner projection screen below the covering…
Does anyone know how to take out the top cover of the HUD to gain access to below “screen” for me to wipe that off if it’s even possible? I did some research and seems like the top plastic covering is attached to the HUD itself in some way without a clear clue. Really don’t want the dealership to touch this, they might make this already tiny issue a bigger mess (scratch, fingerprints, more dirt in that projector screen etc.)

Below picture for your reference:

Highly recommend you bring it into the dealer. If you try to fix it yourself and make things worse, you'll not only regret trying but also be out a good chunk of $$$. Not worth trying to fix it yourself while the car is still under warranty.

If it's there, you'll need to peel off the plastic, as it's only there for shipping (like the plastic that covers the dashboard and iDrive screen, you know which?)
I’m sorry for the confusion M2siast, the background is a plastic wrap in my garage. The display is actually crystal clear, apart from the black imperfection shown above. And I double checked there is no screen or wrap left on the drive 8 or the HUD cover. Not sure how the “suspected dirt” can be trapped in there? Since I think the machine is pretty sealed from this picture when I was taking a look at it:
(I wiped the top curved cover but imperfection stays and I suspect the dirt is trapped under there in that smaller “screen” that actually projects the picture.)

Yeah it really is, plus our M2 does not offer a lot of space to work on that area. I’ll take it to the dealer and let them take a look at it. Hopefully they don’t create more issues than fixing this though. It’s that kinda of a problem that sits bodrderline annoying but not end of the day lol

Dumb question, but here goes. How do you get the tach to display in the HUD?
