I’m on a cross road between Valvetronic and IRL mid pipe.

Has anyone heard them both in person and are able to chime in if there are tone differences?

Thanks.

Valvetronic offers a modified single / equal length
IRL offer a single midpipe

Before picking the brand, start by deciding which sound you want

I’ve watch videos of both and is hard to tell a difference in tone over the video. I’m looking for a rasp free sound at any rpm. I believe they both offer this, just not sure if there are any sound differences between them since both of them are single.

EL tends to be more aggressive, a bit more volume. Single tends to be a bit deeper tone and a tad quieter.

I just ordered mid pipe from their vendor . And cost me $550 shipped .
AA does not use Jagrow nor any other copy of our Mid Pipe. We design and manufacture our own Mid Pipes. We were the 1st to design the Single MP for the F8X platform and every copy of the single is from our design. We also designed the EL MP and have a US and European patent as we learned from not doing one on the Single MP back in 2015. Chinese companies also copy our EL MP, but unfortunately we have no patent enforcement in China. So we take great offense when you make the accusation that we buy Jagrow products and rebrand it.

I’d love to stop by and hear the single and EL in person, is there a time and date you will have both in the shop?

agree on the last statement. Just ended up removing the single mid pipes after installing them on our g87. Granted had catted dp's but still, its just to much sounds like a kazoo upstairs. Whats nuts is I had the same setup on a g80 but it was an auto and it was bearable. Thinking having the manual and with valves auto opening (even in sports mode) doesn't help versus having an auto its a smoother sound. Regardless, holy hell was it loud. Needless to say I'm happy again with the stock exhaust back on and catted dp's. Personally its the ideal setup if you don't want people looking at you like your a kid.

Crap you've got me worried now. I just ordered the IRL single midpipe and the SST valve controller, as most seem to agree that's it's a nice deep sound with minimal rasp. Do you think yours was a lot louder due to the dp?

The dp definitely increases the sound levels

Agree, though like i mentioned, i do believe having a manual exaggerates the kazoo opening and snapping sound one gets with the single mid pipe. I even ordered a resonated smp one but I knew it would not make that much of a difference. Was going to put the stock dp's back on and leave the smp, but in my heart I just like having it quieter with the stock mid pipe. For some reason I like to drive fast and having a loud exhaust doesn't allow you to hide as easily
