When is it too late to make order changes? Alcantara back to leather!

I think I need to switch my MY2025 Alcantara steering wheel back to leather.

I just installed/stitched up an Alcantara wrap for another vehicle of mine and I don’t think I’m a fan.

My current status is “Scheduled for production (112 I think).

Can I just hit up my CA tomorrow to make the change?

Production hasn't even started, it shouldn't be a problem.

I am not a fan for daily driving on parts where your body oils have constant contact (steering wheel, center console, top of door armrest). Would much rather have leather. Don't get me wrong, leather needs to be maintained but its not a potentially finicky as Alcantara.

I have seen a car my builder did where the headliner was Alcantara. That looked really nice but without other Alcantara trim, it would look a little like a misfit.

Oh, to answer your question, yes, you can make changes up until status 150.

Imo, Alcantara is very easy to maintain & feels much better than leather. A little Sonex & microfiber cloth. If you don't like the Alcantara wheel, you can always sell/swap with someone who has leather.

Most people use Sonax cleaner. I’ve been using Crep Protect Cure kit. It’s for cleaning shoes but it works fantastic on steering wheels. I’m also very ocd so I wash my hands before driving to make sure there’s less contamination. If the wheel gets really dirty I’ll pull out my hand held steamer first and steam the wheel then go in with Crep on a horse hair brush and finish with a fresh microfiber and it’s good as new. I’ve currently got a leather wheel on my Raptor and I hate the sticky feeling it gets, especially in the GA heat.
