August shutdown affect our Mexico-built cars?

Always reading the G80/82 forums and the August shutdown is a big deal for them, particularly weeks 33,34 & 35. I’m a week 33.
Do the G87 cars have this same delay? I’d think it would affect them a little bit. Parts availability, “mothership” communications and delivery systems etc. No?

There won’t be any effect on the planned SLP production whether the plant has a holiday break or not. The German plant Aug holiday and plant maintenance while production changes to the new model year is baked into the production schedule. Parts generally come from outside suppliers anyway, but any supply from other plants will take the annual shutdown into account.

These shutdown events aren’t anything people should get worked up about, as they are always part of the BMW production schedule and don’t cause any delays for previously quoted production weeks.
