Single Slat Front Grille
I'm only aware of 2 brands that make one.
Anyone install either of these? Could you post pics if so, please? How was fitment? Alpha N https://ind-distribution.com/product...e2fad713&_ss=r Autotecknic https://autotecknic.com/products/aut...-grille-g87-m2 Last edited by MineralGreyMetallic; 03-22-2024 at 09:19 AM.. |

AutoID also sells one & you can get the same style on Aliexpress for a fraction of the cost.
IND & Autotecknic prices are higher than everywhere else fyi. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mP7Qjtk

Thanks for the link, but I don't think I'm going to install any Ali Express parts on this vehicle.
I've watched enough (really) long talks regarding China's manufacturing processes, with regards to carbon components, that I know it's a bit of a gamble. The parts might be coming out of the same factories using the same exact molds but it's the tolerances and quality assurance requirements that are the big difference. I'm OK paying twice as much to avoid dealing with a poorly fitting part once the bumper is off. I will pay money in exchange for time and convenience. |

That's certainly one's choice. The US and other distributors just take those parts and slap their sticker on them with a significant price increase to make you think you're getting a higher quality product. It's no different than any other product manufactured over there and sold here. Most of the "poor quality" talk is just propaganda. It's been that way forever.
That said, I don't care how people spend their money, as it's none of my business. I just don't like seeing people pay more for things than they have to. I have several cf pieces from Aliexpress in both my M2 & my wife's X3MC. The quality has been excellent and looks exactly the same as OEM. I put cf steering wheel trim and paddles in my wife's X3 that are 100% identical to the oem cf steering wheel trim & paddles in my g87. IND sells the cf shift paddles for $764, AutoTecknic's are $395. I got them from Ali for $39. They are identical in every way, shape, & form. Same with the steering wheel trim pieces. Ridiculously expensive for the BMW parts or $130 from Ali. |

I ordered my carbon front grill from China only because mine needed to be modified to fit my front mount intakes.
I wasn’t going to spend $1500 on a part that I was going to cut up. Fit and finish pf the grill is really good and here is the final product. |

Do you have the link to the seller you went with? Hoping to find a gloss black version, but wary of fitment. Thanks |
