If you're relying on the advice of dealership techs, I take everything they say with a very large grain of salt. They're partners in driving profit for the service department. More frequent service = more $ for the dealership. Sit in a dealership service department and listen to all the "the technicians recommend all these needed services for your vehicle..." speeches from the service advisors. I would venture a guess most couldn't tell you how the CBS system works, what it analyzes, etc.

If you drive the vehicle hard, or the conditions where you drive are harsher, the CBS system will indicate an oil change before the 1 yr/10k mi mark, for example.

The reason many perform more frequent changes is because "that's what I've always done", disregarding the advancements in oil, vehicle technology, etc. If one prefers to do that, it's totally fine, but it doesn't mean their vehicle is going to be any more problem-free or last longer than someone's who follows the maintenance schedule.

Fwiw - I've owned over 40 vehicles, most of which were performance vehicles.
I can't tell you the huge number of miles I've put on them. Always followed the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule & have never had a drive train issue in any of them.

The auto tech were neighbors and friends. They helped train me on car repair and even engine rebuilding of which I did two on my own.

There was no agenda to drive me to seek dealer servicing. One tech worked at a Lincoln dealer and I didn't own a Lincoln. And wouldn't. Cars there were clearly above my pay grade. I didn't even use a dealer to service the car I owned. I did my own servicing.

Oil change every 5-6k and you should be set. These cars are very beefy.
