Dragy times off?

Can someone explain why im getting slower 0-60 times than the average stock times? 2024 M240i xDrive (Dinan intake, turbo inlet, mst catted downpipe and turner exhaust) running michelin PS4’s 245/40 all around. Activating launch control too. 🤔

Your DA is high, which means less than ideal conditions for a run. Try again when it's not so hot out.

I had to look it up.....

--Density Altitude in Drag Racing

In the realm of racing, a general rule is that with every 1,000 feet increase in Density Altitude (DA), a normally aspirated motorcycle tends to decelerate by nearly a tenth of a second in the quarter-mi le (approximately eight hundredths, specifically 0.08).--

I didn't know either, but I saw the 95 degrees and thought that is WAY too hot to be doing pulls looking for a PB (personal best)

You are in California right, so I assume you only put 91 octane? I suspect that's the biggest factor here. Trying blending with some E85 and you'll see a huge gain.

Almost 100 degrees outside. Probably wouldn't expect the car to run it's peak fastest.

However, a 4.26 0 to 60 is a fair amount slower than our optimal 3.8 seconds

Dumb question as I'm sure you would have mentioned it - but did you run Draggy before all your mods ?

I just dragy’d before the downpipe and got like 4.4 secs

Zero to 30 mph gives a good indication.

My car is always in the 1.3 second bracket.

I would say there are very few cars regardless of price or power that are significantly quicker than an M240i X-Drive out off the blocks.
