I’m planning to get an Akrapovic exhaust system. Is an ecu remap really necessary if I install the link pipe / mid pipe?

The tune is not required nor needed when you install the midpipe or the exhaust.

I was warned that remapping the ECU would void warranty, so also curious about this, as it says on the Akrapovic website that "Remapping is mandatory. "

Has anyone ever done both the mid and rears without any warning lights coming on?

No need for remapping to replace the midpipe


Tuning the DME does not void your entire warranty. if you tune your DME and it causes damage, the dealership will not fix the damage for free if it's related to your tune. if the repair is not related to your tune, it will be fixed under warranty
