Zunsport oil cooler protection
I currently have the Mishimoto skid plate installed on my car lowered on Eibach Springs. It’s been scraping on my driveway and I noticed it does sit a little lower than OEM, especially the little lip for the rubber air dam. And unfortunately my air dam tore off because of the scraping and I’m not sure a new one will last either.
I was thinking about switching to the zunsport oil cooler grill. Can anybody comment on the clearance versus mishimoto? And do you think it’s sufficient protection for a lowered car driving over speed bumps, inclines, etc? |

Front is about 17mm lower than stock. The front lip of the car is fine, that doesn’t seem to be scraping. The mishimoto has a tiny lip that the rubber airdam connect to that extends lower than the rest of the plate. Considering the air ram broke off, I’m pretty sure this is the part that is scraping and it’s lower than the OEM stock one.

TRE makes something as well with plenty of pictures on the site.
Curious how you feel the pics compare to yours or anyone with first hand knowledge might know. https://autoid.co/products/bmw-m2-g8...rd-by-tre-2021 |

How high is the bottom of your car off the ground? My other car sits 3.25" from the ground to my splitter & side skirts, and I don't scrape anywhere. I can't imagine your M2 is any lower than that. You may just need to adjust your driving style, take things at angles, etc.
I've had the ZunSport screen on mine for almost 10k mi, stock ride height. I think it's sufficient, but others think the entire undercarriage should be plated in armor. * I see you posted your front is ~17mm lower than stock. That's not even a full inch, you shouldn't be scraping on anything with that ride height.

I do take my driveway at an angle, but even the sharpest one doesn’t prevent scraping when pulling out. I do agree that the bottom of the car seems too high to scrape anywhere, which is why I thought a flush protector like the zunsport would solve my issue. |
