Totally agree, here in Australia the EV infrastructure is miles behind where it should be. Another problem remains, that being a large number of homes in the Sydney inner city area do not have off street parking adding to recharging woes (recharging cables across pedestrian footpaths are not permitted by local government). Indeed, improvements to the ICE power plants are most likely doable by way of mild hybrids etcetera.
