When I was searching for one in November of last year, I found a lot of ZB available, SBM, and AW. It was pretty difficult to find TR & BG, the two colors I was considering. I was searching nation-wide. I ended up finding a couple TR that were in-transit, 1 TR 60 mi from me (that I purchased), and 1 BG about 250 mi away.

I've seen only 3 G87s anywhere around me, one ZB with temp tags, 2 SBM.

yeah I have had a handful of people approach me about it already, common question is what color is it and is it a wrap lol

I just traded my Lotus Evora GT for 2024 BG on Friday. Picked up the car at BMW of Arlington. On Sunday I saw a TR near my neighborhood here in San Antonio, and I know the local dealer has (or had) one TR listed last week. Love the TR but I have an X3M Comp on TR and thought it be too much TR in one household, lol!

Toronto Red is going to end up being a classic. BMW really has a the reds down, starting with Imola Red.

Super curious to hear what promoted you to trade the Lotus? I’ve listed after an Evora for many years but the G87 M2 was a compromise to have an “actual car” that we can daily drive with a trunk that is usable.

I've been a long-term BMW guy (18 in 25 years) and a few years back came across 2014 Lotus Evora S. The lines and the Toyota power train got my attention, then I drove it and really like it. At the time I had an E92 M3 and was feeling like BMW had kind of lost its way with everything that was coming out after the E90's series... Being ol' school the Lotus took me back to that true driver's feel, so I bought the 2014 and drove it for about three years, and then moved on to the Evora GT which was definitely superior to the S. I had this GT for over two years and was also a fantastic driver's car but started experiencing some glitches with the transmission. It looked like it could have been resolved by performing a re-flash but unfortunately (and notoriously) service centers for these cars are sparse and the one closest to me is awful! So, I started getting antsy and disappointed... on top of the fact that there are not a whole lot of performance mods you can do to these cars. To finalize the story, a few months back I purchased a 2020 X3M Comp, did a Stage 2 tune and few other goodies and that brought me back to BMW, I've been eyeing the M2's for some time and with the issues I was experiencing with the Lotus decided to trade the Lotus for the 2024 M2. I will probably end up with another Lotus in the near future but right now I am extremely happy with the M2 and the mod options available that I couldn't get with the Lotus...

javistor what an awesome story and I am super jealous of that journey!! I test drove an Evora 400 and I could not stop acting like a little kid (just giggling the whole time) because it was such an amazing feeling car! That really got me serious about taking the plunge into a sports car (and foregoing my money saving decisions of driving a Prius).

I'm excited for the M2 as a great "balance" of a vehicle, but sure hope that some point further down the road in life I get to own the Lotus. Although, right now I live 8 minutes from 1 Lotus dealer and 1 hour from a 2nd dealer....so now is probably the best time to own one

In CA, new cars don't have to be smogged for the first 7 years. What are the smog laws like in TX?

They differ from city to city, currently there is no smog test in San Antonio but that's about to change soon... I believe Austin requires smog test

javistor did you sell the Lotus Evora to Lotus of North Jersey? I see they have a 2021 Evora for sale in what looks to be the same color as the picture you posted.
