How does it arrive to the dealer from the factory (UK)
Has anyone got any photos of how the cars arrive at the dealers (preferably UK)? Despite me saying constantly to leave all the transport wrapping on and not to fit the plates the dealer has just sent me the photo below of my new car.
Ideally I want to fit short plates as I have a private plate but the plinth is screwed on now. Is this how it is sent to them or has the dealer fitted them? I told them not to. Its also arrived with tinted windows which I specifically said I didn't want and didn't option.... |

I only ask as it's being picked up from there on a covered trailer and taken straight to a detailer for PPF. I wanted to fit shorter plates too but I will now have 4 holes in the bumper.
1st world problems and all that but so frustrating |

Plinth is delivered in the boot to the UK, it can get central PDI where instructions often aren't followed but dealer can request to be done by them. Few folks on here have without the plinth including me. I told the sales guy at least a dozen times and confirmed it had all been passed to the people prepping it.

With mine, the first time I saw the car it had the number plate plinth installed.
Doors had a protective foam on the edges but other than that I don’t recall any other external protection. It was also filthy- looks like ours has been washed. Inside, pretty much everything had plastic on it. I had asked my dealer to leave all protective covers on the car as it was, like yours, going straight to the detailers. Regarding the windows; sun protection glass is standard isn’t it? |

I’ve been to have a look and the plinth is really annoying but there’s nothing I can do about it now. The sales lady said they have to have the plinth on as it’s a legal requirement….
I’m ok with the tinted windows, I was just looking forward to having a car with clear ones for a change, I’m glad I have gone for the sunroof though, that adds a lot of light. The rear tints are standard on the 240 but option on the 220 and 230. |

I would say the dealers just aren't listening or someone isn't following instructions.
The flipside is that I told the dealer I don't want VIN etching, all weather floor mats or the battery tender. I didn't pay for any, yet I have all 3... |

My instructions to my dealer were no one cleans the car or fits the front plate. I emphasised multiple times on the front plate and asked them to send an email to their sales operations team. It can be done by a central PDI but I my dealer told me this is dealer specific and my dealer (Sytner Maidenhead do it all themselves)
Your car looks like it’s been cleaned and PDI’d centrally to me. Which if I had to guess you went with Dick Lovett? As I believe they do this Anyway your car does look like it was cleaned, mine was still thick with Mexican sand all over the paint when I collected it. |

You could get some paint and colour some screw caps, they would look like the other sensors
