MPP intake (DIY intake)
Making Payments Performance
I couldn’t justify $300+ for an intake with unknown quality filters, but I wanted the induction and turbo noises. I maintain the lower portion of the intake boxes, and the plastic intake tube which shouldn’t heat soak as badly as metal alternatives. I put this little kit together with a 3.5-4in reducer and 2 dry AEM DryFlow filters. It’s not as loud as other intakes on the market, but I attribute that to the aem filters actually filtering the intake air charge. It is very noticeable with sound which is all I wanted the intake for. I don’t plan on dyno or even running logs. This $130 and 20 minutes of my time does all I expect an intake to do. All you need is 2 filters, one 3.5 and one 4in flange and the 3.5 to 4in reducer and you’re set |

3.5” AEM 21-204DK
4” Aem 21-205DK 3.5 to 3” adapter aluminum 3.5”-4” BATONECO OD 3.5 Inch to OD 4 Inch... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQW7GZHK...p_mob_ap_share I did use a small strip of foam to 100% seal the dr side intake with the adapter. The passenger side, which takes the 3.5” filter slips completely over the stock tubing and seals against the ribs on the stock plastic tube |
