Zandvoort Blue
hi everyone. I saw my first Zandvoort Blue M2 on the road this morning and cant decide if I like it or not. I think its a great summer colour, but in the wet UK autumn and winter, not so sure.
What's everyone think ? |

reminded me of the blue on the 3rd gen eclipse in the pics.
It does look MUCH better in person though. Personal preference but I don't think it suits the car.

Besides the ZB color the car is too heavy and can't pull well from 1K in 4th gear. And don't forget the car is basically ugly. Not at all good looking like just about every BMW M car that preceded it. But you know what? I don't care. I love my ZB M2 6-speed manual. Owned a number of cars over the years and so far the M2 has received more favorable comments -- and not one negative comment -- in the 16 months I've owned it than all the other cars I've owned combined. The other night in a gas station convenience store and some guy walked in and asked me if that was my car parked out front? Thinking oh oh someone backed into the car I asked him if he was talking about the blue BMW? Yes the blue car. Said it was mine. He said it was a good looking car and would I mind if he took a picture of the car? I said he could take a picture, and breathed a sigh of relief. I don't need other people to like my cars but it is nice to receive compliments rather than have people mime retching when they walk past a car... Like the M2 so much decided -- after 22 years of having 2 cars -- to make do with just one car and the M2 is it. Sold my 2024 BMW 230ix back to the dealer where I bought it last December. |

haha, maybe, but its not cool to be early !! I was just putting it out there as I havent seen any others in the UK in that colour and as its quite a 'marmite' colour (you may need to Google that for the meaning), just wondered what people though after actually seeing it in the flesh on the road.

I think it’s a nice colour, can’t help but feel like it’s just a worse version of Yas Marina Blue though...

Why late to the party? ZB is only now available on G42 so valid to see what people think.
I don't think it suits the M2 but would want to a see an M240 in person before commiting, might be a shade or two too light.

I feel like these cars look better with darker colors in general. My dealer had an allocation for a 2025 ZB 240i and a 2024 black 240i when I got mine. I thought about the 2025 ZB but wasn't sure how I'd feel about that color in a couple years. I was afraid the novelty would wear off quickly.

After doing some research, I found that birds will generally try to crap over water. Blue/black cars look like water to birds in some cases and they kept mistaking my car for water. Not sure how to explain how you were making contact with them though lol. |
