Tyre settings message after changing tyres

So i replaced my factory fitted Bridgestone Runflats with Michelin PS5’s 2 days ago. I now keep getting a message every time I get into my car, that the car doesn’t recognize my tire. (2023 m240i Xdrive)

I have done the autodetect twice already and the car is happy once competed and the message goes away, but when I turn my car off and get back into it later to drive somewhere else, the message reappears again. The TPMS system seems to work fine regardless of the message.

Is there anyway to stop this message from popping up every time I get into my car?

I changed my tires recently and just went the manual route and no more message.

I have done the manual route as well, but it still gives me the same message on the next restart. 🤷‍♂️

My only guess is that you need to allow the TPS system to detect/test the new tires. It probably takes 5-10 miles of constant driving? You can see the % to complete on the tire monitoring widget

I did the full reset again a few days back and it seems to be ok now.. Maybe the system wasn’t happy with the first reset I did and now it is. 🤷‍♂️
