Tires option on new build

Hello, long time listener, first time caller at least in this corner of bimmerpost forums. I’m in the process of selling a couple of BMW’s (z4M, E92 M3, daily 230i) to eventually order an M2.

I was wondering if there is a way to specify the tires. I work for Michelin and I just would like my new car to come with the Michelins. I know they come with star spec P4s, pirellis or Yokohama but obviously I’m biased towards the Michelin.

I even seen press cars with Cup2 on them on the regular wheels.

Also, I’ve seen a few post where you could order the HAS kit installed at the port but haven’t seen option code, part numbers or price for them?

Thanks for any pointers

There is no way to specify the tyre manufacturer. Two G87s can arrive on the same car transporter to a dealer with different tyres fitted.

In the US, Cup 2 (240) tyres are not an option, they are only available in other markets (Canada and European markets have them as a selectable option, sometimes in combination with other performance options).

Response as to tires answered above.

You can order the M Performance Suspension aka HAS to be port installed by having your CA add it to your build sheet depending on where your car is in production. After having it added to mine, I am now replacing the HAS with coilovers. Depending on what you was out of the suspension, you nay not want the HAS.

Crevier BMW got 3 M2s, all 3 were custom orders and they all came with the Yokos.

That’s sad. All three tires option are from big names but Inknow first hand hat goes to make the spec BMW Michelins. I have a local friend that ordered a new M2 and it came out with Pirelli. He swapped them with the Michelin with less than 2,000 miles in the odo

All the BMW Star spec tires regardless of make are tweaked for BMW specs.
BTW, I am pleasantly surprised by the YOKOS.
