individual paint wait time? voodoo blue.

Hello,

Just placed an order for a voodoo blue M2. Dealer said individual paint shouldn't delay the car that much but BMW's website said it can delay by 12-14 weeks.

Anyone here order a voodoo blue M2 and has a build date?

Thanks.

Frozen Portimao Blue. Fairly well optioned except I didn’t get buckets. I’m planning on dailying this as much as I can in the good weather, and buckets are a PITA to get out of, for me.

Just yesterday my CA said “more than 2 weeks away, less than 3 weeks”. We’ll see. Trying not to get too excited. But I’m pretty damn excited!

Luckily the Frozen paint was only a 1-2 week delay vs 6-8 weeks on the individual colors. Hopefully yours goes fast!

Once the car is waiting for a boat is the time to get excited. I found a 24 specced 98% how I would have so jumped on it just as it entered production. Do wish I had the chance for the carbon interior but the black is fine.

This isn’t true. My cars been waiting for a boat for well over 2 weeks. Others, with build weeks after me, have already gotten their cars loaded onto boats and they’ll be arriving this week.

The time to get excited is when your car’s ON the boat.

All depends where you live. In the US, the east coast boat got loaded and left first. West coast boat is…?

Maybe not so much...when mine was on the boat, it was supposed to be offloaded at Brunswick (and have HAS installed there). We'll, ship was late, port was full and itbsat off the Georgia coast for days. Then it chugged up to the Northeast (mind you all it's destination tos were now delayed from sitting offshore of Georgia). Again, it missed its timing in Baltimore went to New Jersey, then Philly and then finally to Baltimore where it offloaded.

The car then needs to find a carrier, which timing isn't guaranteed.

So, when would I get excited...when it gets on the carrier on the way to the dealership.

Probably a good plan. You're not helping my patience issue I'm having right now.

I feel your pain...from placing my order to taking delivery was 11 months. Maybe that helps?

Agreed. Mine was stuck at the destination port for weeks while the MP HAS was being installed. I was wrong to get excited when it was on the boat.
