Went with sport seats. Need my wife to be happy if I want to drive this car as often as I’d like, and no way she was going to live with the buckets. No regrets. Sports seats are great.

standard seats (i guess we are calling them sport seats) here. wife resents any car stuff that looks "instagrammy" (her word), i was positive i would destroy the outside bolster anyway by virtue of being both large physically and leaning over them all winter long to get my ski boots on and off, and i really didnt want to have to repeatedly train passengers to be easy on them. if i wasnt using as a daily i'd probably get them.

I heard it gives a lower seating position and extra legroom in the rear which will get used often by my kids, so I was thinking of going with them for those reasons as well. I am a bit concerned at all the kicking the backside is going to suffer from kids however!

I went with carbon bucket seats. Personally they're complemented the M cars. M2 is my daily and am enjoying how the carbon bucket hugging me while driving. Getting in/out is an easy task, with seat memory 2 for moving the seat back, and the seat memory 1 as my driving position.

When I test drove a friend’s manual G87 a few months ago, I didn’t even notice the ‘thigh dividor,’ much less feel it. But I suppose it depends on your proportions.

IMHO it will look a little silly with mismatching seats. but what do i know. if carbon buckets need to be sacrificed to ensure martial bliss then i say that is a small price to pay- an M2 as a daily is already a semi selfish decision.

The only reviews I have seen mention the carbon hump with the manual causing problems has been the right hand drive cars. I think maybe something about how the pedals are placed in RHD vs LHD.
