Found this interesting; thought the 'M Carbon Bucket Seats' would weigh considerably less than the standard M seats. Turns out they weigh only 6.6 lbs less, or 13.2 lbs for both. I guess a big part of that is they aren't manually adjustable and have electric motors.

Seems way off, that thread lists the standard seats weighing only 33 lbs which seems rather low. In the video they weighed them at 54.6 lbs.

kyrix1st, where did you get the weight of the standard seats from?

The original BMW press release indicated the carbon fibre seats were 10.8kg lighter per pair than the standard sports seats (not the M-sports seats that are the default in North America): https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/globa...m2?language=en
