fair points and well taken. they don't make them for this car so I don't have to worry LOL... but I don't think I can live with this dust so isweeps it is... even if there is some compromise in "braking power" or performance, I'll make that trade and it is somewhat specific to the driver. if you're never going to see a track or driving that requires lots of hard braking then I don't think (or hope) that there is any real difference from brembo to say an Isweep pad. like i said, my hellcat which is way more powerfull and heavy than this m2 had powerstops for 25,000 miles an no one that drove it knew any difference, at least for normal street driving.. but point well taken, not going to put a crappy pad on this M2

Anyone specifically compare the Is1500 with Is2000 pads on the same car / same model? Very interested how the feel and the dust difference. If stop/feel is negligible and dust is slightly less on is1500 then seems those are def way to go.

The G80/G82 forums have TONs of info on both pads. Way more than the G87 forums. Find the couple of massive threads. The consensus is owners are happy with both.
1500s have the least dust but give up a little bit of bite. 2000s dust more than the 1500s but much less than stock and give up nothing - some say bite is slightly better than stock. Neither pad is suitable for track use. Course the stock pads aren’t really either.
Another things all owners have said is the dust that the ISweeps do produce is way easier to clean than the sticky stock dust.

Probably the easiest pad swap I've done. If you have a jack & jack stands it should take you well under an hour for all 4.

yea I did my hellcat and scat pack myself.. the hardest part is jacking up and doing one wheel at a time as I don't have a real 'shop' or anything lol just a hydraulic jack and some stands.

but I'm not sure I want to attempt on this car, I see electronic sensors and other things down there.. it's really just that I'm not overly handy and someone did my first charger with me so I was kind of taught how to do it lol.. and my old ass doesn't want to mess this car up because thats my luck ...

another few questions.. I ordered them, thank you to RG sport...

I didn't really do any research other than reading here from you guys... are these carbon/ceramic material? curious about their lifespan and if they are easier on the rotors as those bad boys look expensive if they have to be replaced lol.

on my last 6 chargers, the first one i did nothing and at 30k I had to buy pads and rotors.. on the next 5 I did the powerstops and never replaced anything again, including my last one that I sold with 60k and pads were at about 1/2 left... so curious if these have the same benefits

I had IS2000 on my wife’s daily G05 X5.
The rear lasted 24k miles, while the front still going strong.
I didn’t have my X3MC long enough to burn a set. But based on taking it off after 20k miles, it still have plenty of meat.
Don’t hold me against it though, because brake pads wear are depending on your braking habit and daily commute traffic.

Thanks! Not very encouraging on the life though lol. 24k and dead, wow…

The pads on my wife's X3MC have 17k on them and still look new, mine have 11k on them, look the same. Like RG said, highly dependent on your driving/braking style.

24k is not too bad considering I am using DAP during road trip and my wife's doing a lot of local traffic, light to light.
Also, you don't want a brake pad that last long. Usually it means that it is as hard as a rock and doesn't have friction.
I have had that type of pad on my Odyssey, and I had a lot of close calls, lol.

Got the isweeps installed today. Thanks to r33_RGSport they arrived quickly as promised. Hope they last and I hope to never see brembo dust again lol . My son drove it home so I can’t comment yet on feel although I’m sure they are fine. Very excited to see how much less they really dust.
My 392 powerstops were 90% less. I also had powerstops on my 23 m40. I know many of you don’t like them but I’ve done a good 150,000 miles on them with no issues (for normal street conditions anyhow) They are also 10 times less expensive.

Also off topic, the more I drive this car the more I think about getting one for myself lol it’s really a blast and so nice. I really thought I would hate the new interior but it’s great and makes the old style look really old lol… and the drivetrain is out of control. I’m so used to not having traction but you can really “drive” this car and it’s not an issue like my 392 or hellcat, it’s refreshing to able to put the power down!

Have to say after 3 and a half days of driving a good amount of miles, the dust reduction is very good. With OEM by now they would be completely filthy , now it seems they will make it until the next weekend or wash . They are similar in dust reduction to my powerstops on my 392 charger. They definitely feel the same as OEM no drop that I can tell or feel for normal driving anyhow. I’m no expert but performance and dust is A+ so far. I really hope longevity and wear on rotors is good too, and then they are perfect!

Many thanks to all of you and your testing before me 😆 .. that’s the beauty of forums like this one with good members and vendors, someone goes through the trials which helps all the others later!

This exactly hahah! I got them week one of ownership thank goodness for this thread! They were expensive but as mentioned you can’t put a price on no dust.. on any car with these brakes. My hellcat and scatpack were worse than the m2 OEM if you can believe it.

Here is the front and back after about 5 days of driving about 400 -450 miles, maybe closer to 500. Yes there is some dust but this is nothing like this same mileage with OEM. To me it’s either it is ok or not. This is ok to me, not much more than an average car or so. with the OEM at this point they would be covered completely and so filthy that I would have to break out the hose and clean them. They couldn’t go more than about 2 days without looking so bad they had to be cleaned lol. they still have some gloss to them . I would say if i had to guess based on my limited time with both, they are a good 70% less dust than OEM. Maybe even 80%. Point is they were worth every penny . No more cleaning wheels once or twice a week between weekend washes, that’s huge savings in time and effort etc. Here is the front and back

Btw we washed it a day before we installed these and didn’t have a chance to wash after install of pad so they have a little OEM dust from before the install… and still they aren’t that bad lol
