Lmao... any forged wheel is going to be totally fine. Because a US based company charges $10k for $1k of materials doesn't mean shit about quality. Almost every US-based wheel certification program is a total scam and is 'self-certified'. Kind of like 'sustainable' fish. It's all a marketing scheme and means nothing. A block of aluminum is a block of aluminum. JWL is more rigorous but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.

Similarly, titanium is titanium. Welds are not all the same, however. Regardless, this exhaust is obnoxiously overpriced.
It's not about how much they charge for the exhaust, it's about the benefits versus the cost.
With 8k of forged wheels you benefit from a better look and have a reduction in unsprung mass (with multiple benefits), with 8k of titanium slip-on you only have 8k less in your bank account. That's all.
But of course everyone is free to squander their money as they see fit.

The slip on is $5k. I’ve seen other slip ons $2-$3k. So we’re really talking $2k or so. How many of us are buying $3k of carbon bits? Yet we talk about $ spent per hp.

How many of us are buying the $4k ALPHA trunk? Is there a performance benefit I’m unaware of?

(I’m prob buying the ALPHA trunk too)

So we are comparing purely authentic parts to bolt on parts, wheels and fish now? LoL.

The difference between exhaust, wheels and carbon fiber parts/trunks is that some of these are for visuals only. Where as the others do more than just look pretty.

Both will be fine on an M2.
Was not referring to stock, was referring to ROTA & rep wheels made of shit casting process.

anything OEM can be assumed to be decent.

I’d argue mods are mods. None really needed (except getting rid of the highjacker stance)
A cool sounding exhaust means a lot to me, not concerned it adds hp or not

So if I'm hardcore tracking my car, better wheels and tires aren't needed? Vs. A cool sounding exhaust?

100% agree use case get diff mods. Mine is full GT daily cross country tourer with snows a few months a year.

And not to be critical (love what PHD is doing) but this thing weighs 2 tons. Sure you want to dedicate track it?

Ok. That's all I'm trying to say haha. In terms of track performance there is very little that comes close to value of what u get out of sticky tires + lightweight strong wheels.

Having to pay additional $2k for tips is what gets me. Should really come with tips.

Carbahn Ti exhausts for other models is around $5-$7k but comes complete.

The sound of all the aftermarket exhaust don't sound that much better
then stock on this vehicle. Why is that?

Yeah one of the vendors told me I gotta buy the tips, one said he’d look into it. They look like one of the “ends” on each side has a weird proprietary bubble and there doesn’t look like enough meat to hack it off, Everything everyone is saying about this exhaust being too expensive. I agree at the $2k tips. Stupid

Am I wrong, or is AKRAPOVIC the only exhaust that will not make you lose warranty therefor the price might be ok?
