The take rate for a manual M2 its 50/50 here in the US. I can see the point when you factor in the G80/2 though.

i thought that stat was just 2023s- definitely happy to be wrong on that though.

agreed- but a SS 1LE or ZL1 for me

I'm afraid you're both wrong. The correct answer is a CT4-V Blackwing.

no thanks. i found the powerplant so-so and have heard nothing but bad stories RE: reliability so far. a CT5-V BW, however...

I heard some of those too, which is what ultimately landed me on the M2. Not so much the engine or transmission (its got a Tremec so that's pretty bulletproof) but more so the consumables like brakes.

I don't trust turbo GM engines (yet) but happy to be proven wrong (ZR1)

LT4 has valve guide seal and blowby issues, high quality catch can is an absolute must to mitigate intake valve coking (DI). The Blackwing isn't worth $40k more than a ZL1 - it's just crazy

Side note LT4 only makes about 550 rwhp on a dyno so the 2025 M2 won't be far off
