The speed is awesome, you can cycle through each module to find things to code without having to wait 30 seconds to a minute for each to load the info.
I will try again. I do remember trying everything with the phone. Might just be that my phone wasn't compatible. I remember that within the settings, I didn't come across a couple specific things I saw on tutorial videos.

Using the Bluetooth device, it takes a good half hour to run through and program everything I want on the 2-Series section.

Yeah, exactly, i hated coding due to the long wait for each step using bluetooth. With the ethernet setup its lightning fast, and now i want to begin exploring the expert mode stuff since its no longer a long time commitment between each click.

It may even be worthwhile buying a used phone that you can confirm works. I use my old Pixel 6, which i dont think is very cheap.

I have been looking at bimmer utility recently, just not sure its worth $100+ for what i need.

I used Expert to completely turn all ASD off. As cool as the loud upshift and downshift thumps, and all the other cool noises, I couldn't leave it knowing it's fake.

Been looking to get a new phone for a while, just so many other things I have on the shopping list at the moment.

An annoying thing with bimmercode is the license is locked to the platform that you bought it on, so i bought it on android and recently switched to iPhone, and now have to do all coding from my old android phone as there is no way i am paying twice for the same thing.

Ive been considering buying bimmer utility lately as its one license for all platforms, including PC, plus it can do more than bimmercode/bimmerutility.

Im using MHD wifi ENET and its very fast to code. Takes few seconds.. A better option if you dont want to mess with cables.

Mind you, its $25 for the cable or $100 for wireless. The cable is not a hassle for the handful of times you will be coding, not worth the extra $75 to go wireless, IMO.

Trying some new mats from carmats4u.com (uk), decent quality and fit, probably should have got charcoal so might get those in a plusher weight as this is mid-range.

Will live with them for a while but happy enough so far.

You were right with your earlier comment. For ethernet on iOS you need to have airplane mode enabled, Wifi and bluetooth off. It is fast and flawless. Re-coding multiple ecu's after a software update takes 2 minutes, not 10.

Garage List
Dinan strut tower braces. While I will eventually do a couple of HPDE events with the car, I will fully admit this is not primarily about any sort of performance improvements.

To be honest, looks incredible! It improves performance quite a bit but not on the street. That's mandatory for track use in my opinion.

Funny story, when I had an EVO9 racecar with rollcage and all the FIA treatment, I installed a strut brace that goes also on the firewall, like a triangle. On the track I never had an issue but when the car went on the street, I managed to crack the windscreen in 10 minutes in the first pothole . It bent the chassis under the windscreen

So I was looking for new wheels forever but finally decided to just get my OEM ones powder coated. These went from gloss black to highland bronze. Turned out better than expected.....

I was thinking of doing that with the 893M wheels as well. Looks great!

How did you wire? ODB, fuse hard-wire or mirror hard-wire?

I'm mostly interested in parking mode and was wondering how's the battery drainage?

Do you have any pics of placement and where you drew the wires?

U1000 is no longer available, so I guess I'll have to go with U3000

Thx

I had a set of their top of the range ones in my mini after the original bmw ones developed a hole with less than 10k on the clock. I traded the car in with 35k miles and the mats were still in really good condition.

I like the blue and red detailing on yours.

I hardwared into the front fuse boxed. I used the same fuse as the 12v socket. I’ve not had any issues with the power drain on the system. After 10-15 minutes the car shuts off power to the 12v socket.

Which is good so it won’t drain the battery but may not be ideal if you want to use the parking mode.

I didn’t take any pictures, but I did follow a video. It’s for the previous gen M2 but the process is very similar.

I installed the rear camera off to the right side instead of the center. I really didn’t want to see the camera in the rear mirror and this keeps it some what hidden.
