I installed this 5 piece gloss carbon fiber kit in my 2022 M240i and it looked great https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804149446326.html

However, the adhesive transfer tape provided was not holding on the cupholder door, and as I was re-taping that I found the same issue on the console wrap. I am considering it is because I have the aluminum (slightly textured) interior trim and it does not adhere as well as too a gloss surface, so I am simply going to stick with the factory trim.

I have gently removed all 5 carbon fiber pieces and removed almost all of the used adhesive from the back.

Included will be all 5 carbon fiber pieces and 2 partially used rolls of 3M adhesive, which hopefully would work for you, or you might have your own preferred adhesive.

What adhesive did it come with? 3M makes many different kinds some are very powerful some are not. If it’s not 3M VHB it’s unlikely to work. Did you consider just using a stronger one?

Not sure what came with it. The backing was not 3M.

I bought 2 other 3m tapes. One seemed not strong enough the other seemed at least as strong as what came with the kit.

So after I reinstalled the door, it was slightly out of line and rubbing. I pulled it, realizing I was going to have to retape parts of it again. Honestly at that point I started losing my patience with it and in the back of my mind, wondering is this going to keep happening in Florida heat?

So nothing objectively wrong with it, it looks great, just not something I care to move forward with.

Please make a respectable offer and enjoy the kit...
