Are my eyes deceiving me? Does that come with leather knee pads even though you don’t have one of the M color leather interiors?

This looks really really nice. I rented a BG 230i xDrive, before ordering a 2025 M240i xDrive. I was so happy when the 2025 model removed the gloss back on the side skirts and rear bumper.

I'm really happy with how it turned out after seeing your pictures. Still waiting for my car. Beautiful car, enjoy!

Looks so good! Got me even more excited now to receive mine. I’ve ordered the MY25 in BG and it’s currently on its way over the Atlantic, definitely prefer it without the black gloss now I’ve seen the pictures

Knee pads are back, it was verified by the Canadian dealership video posted earlier. 2025 got some solid updates, especially the painted skirts that look ncie!

Glad you guys with the '25 models on order love the painted elements, I much prefer the black version. Either way you'll love your cars, they are excellent things.

Looks fine on darker colors.
On lighter colors, I think I prefer the black elements.

Still ready for transport since 9/8. Genius was able to tell me that the destination port would be Baltimore, but that was about it as far as new news.

The Hamburg Highway has been and gone at Southampton however I’m still at status 195 and the car is still at sea. I’m hoping the status update is delayed but looks more likely that I’m probably on the Hawaiian Highway which docks in Southampton in 2 weeks.

Order date - 23/06
Status 112 Scheduled for production - 29/06
Status 150 Scheduled for body shop - 11/07
Status 155 Assembly finish / quality check - 05/08
Status 165 In transit from Plant to Port of arrival 08/08
Status 195 Exit from port 03/09

Beautiful car. Just ordered mine Sat.

Curious why no carbon fiber interior? Of the few 2025's I've seen so far haven't seen carbon fiber. Kinda surprised.

Enjoy!

My guess is because they are really price gouging with that trim on this model in the US. That being said, I did still go with it :-). I don't think I'm even on a boat yet so may be awhile before I get pictures.

My dealership rang me today and told me the car has arrived in the UK. Should hopefully be picking it up at the end of the week/start of next

Contemplating placing an order and working through the finer points. Basically ordering a loaded car.

Sensatec interior: is this just shitty fake leather? Is it durable at all? I would imagine it feels the part from the jump but I worry about the longevity. I like the colors offered in sensatec, and don't feel that a budget leather is a great option either (bmw leather below the very top line offerings has always been mediocre)

Sunroof/moonroof: extremely tempted to delete as I don't need the sun or the weight. Only worry is the behavior with the windows down and no vent on the roof. How is the buffeting with the sunroof closed and the windows down? I have heard the supra has major problems with this.

Sensatec is actually going to be more durable and last longer than real leather with less upkeep. It will keep a new look longer. On the other hand it won’t get that “worn in” look and feel you can get with proper leather upkeep over time. If you know what I mean.

No clue about the sunroof. But it will cost ya to remove it. Cheaper to keep it on the car.

No issues with buffeting with the windows down and sunroof closed here, and I use it a lot in various guises.

Thanks, I dug up a thread in the 3 series boards with basically the same take on the upholstery. Lots of folks there said merino/nappa are better than sensatec but vernasca is worse similar to Dakota. I know I don't like Dakota leather so the decision is sealed for me.

Sunroof delete is free online. I probably wouldn't pay to delete so well see if it comes up as a cost in the official order

Awesome thanks for the report. I had a very hard time finding anything on the topic but I suppose that's a good thing too. Easy to find negative opinions online.

Awesome! Any idea how long it took your dealer to get an allocation?

I think that varies greatly by dealership and situation. One dealer said they were already almost out of 2025 allocations so it wouldn’t be until 2025. One had a Aug allocation available. My local dealer didn’t have one yet but said probably Sept, worst case Oct. they received allocation for first week of Sept a couple weeks later.

Updated to In Transit. Now need to figure out what ship I'm on and make sure it goes around the hurricane LOL. (20 years ago I factory ordered a Mazda RX-8 and it ended up on a train leaving Seattle that derailed. Had to wait for another one.)

I was on Glovis Champion that arrived in Brunswick GA on 9/11.... sadly I'm still there waiting to clear VPC. Car will be going to performance delivery (PCD). Someone had a MY24 M2 that was dropped off with me on 9/11, also doing PCD, his car was trucked to PCD end of last week....

BMW logistics is a mystery.

Totally agree on the Sensatec. Now that it is perforated, even better than the previous Sensatec that is still standard on the current z4. We have perforated Sensatec in our '23 x3 M40i and HAD Vernasca leather in our previous '19 230i xDrive. That leather had no leather smell and was hard compared to the Sensatec. I'd save the Vernasca leather upcharge and go with Sensatec. It was fine in the '25 Alpine White M40i I test drove today (Black Sensatec).
